It's Not Goodbye.....
This past week, I’ve done something I never thought I’d have the balls to do; I started a for real grownup website! I’ve been saying for at least nine months that I am going to build a real website to serve as sort of a portfolio for my blog and my work and my mayhem and foolishness. I finally got off my butt and did it and I couldn’t be more excited!!
What does that mean...
The Coolest Survey Ever
I stole this from a blogger here on Tumblr (shout out to fuckyeahfitspiration!) and I had to do it because……well…… it was better than all of the other ones I’ve seen……
1) Put your iTunes on shuffle. Give me the first 6 songs that pop up.
1- One in a Million by Aaliyah, 2-Kids by MGMT, 3-Voice Mail #4 by Original Broadway Cast of Rent, 4-Disconnect by She...
First Outfit Post of the Year
I am the WORST about posting outfits. Every year I say I’m going to do more outfit pictures and every year I don’t do it. So this year, I’m not even going to bother saying it. I’m just going to hope for the best!
I wore this last Thursday (yes that was still in 2011) to a meeting and then lunch with a friend. I’ve been getting into leggings lately and am slowly...

My New Year's Word
There’s this amazing blogger here in Austin - her name is Tolly and she writes Austin Eavesdropper. Not only is she a great person and friend, but she’s a total inspiration. Want to redecorate? Check out her blog. Want to get motivated to try new things? Definitely check out her blog! Ever year, she chooses a New Year’s Word. Instead of making resolutions, she chooses a word that...
All Hail the "Large Posterior"
I rarely comment on current affairs. I keep my opinion on politics and such offline for the most part. However, something was brought to my attention recently, and I feel that not only do I need to share it, but I need to declare publicly and with great conviction- THIS IS NOT OKAY!!!
Apparently a Republican Congressman from Wisconsin by the name of Jim Sensenbrenner decided to call the First...
All The Pretty Bras
I love clothes. I love shopping for them, I love organizing them in my closet, and I love mix and matching them. But you know what’s even more important that the clothes? What’s underneath them! Without the proper foundation garments, a perfectly awesome outfit can be ruined. With so many styles, fabrics and types of bras, it’s hard to know which ones you need in your wardrobe. I...
A Whole New Personal Shopping Experience- David J....
When it comes to doing personal shopping with friends/clients, I find that I’m usually working with women that have most of the same issues. Getting rid of things they don’t wear, utilizing and remixing what they do have, and looking great without spending a lot of time and money. So when my friend David J. Neff, author/non-profit marketing genius/ Austin hipster extraordinare asked me...
Outfit Post - What I Wore to Speak
I know, I know - I speak all the time. It would be a pretty big surprise to hear that I wasn’t speaking. However, for this particular post I was actually speaking to a room full of people about social networking. My friend Liz (owner and curator of the amazing Link Coworking!) does a series called Link at Lunch. Once a month, they bring in some lunch and have someone talk about something...

My Weekend Shopping Haul
Someday I’d like to be one of those noble people that uses Black Friday/Cyber Monday to start or finish their Christmas Shopping. Not me though……. I use the big sales to supplement my wardrobe! What can I say, I’m a sucker for a sale :)
I decided to check out Lane Bryant since they were doing 50% off pretty much everything (Spanx, Seven, DKNY excluded) and I had my eye on...
Cardigan Conumdrum
There are few things I love more than a great cardigan sweater. Sure chocolate is nice as well as the perfect lip color and good hair days. But nothing beats a great cardigan!
Here in Texas, we have a whole lot of fall weather and not a whole lot of winter. Most of the time, I can get away with a dress and tights, a cute cardigan and a scarf. That being said, I like to have variety in my life. As...
Let's Talk Kid's Clothes
If you know me (since most of my blog readers are my friends, my sisters and my mom) you know I’m actually not a big kid lover. Sure I love other people’s kids, but I’m not really into having one of my own. However, it’s getting to be the holidays, and not only is my family full of little ones, but my BFF has a brand new baby that I plan on spoiling rotten. Of course, you...
Marie Claire Fashion Show!!
I am often floored by the amount of talented designers/stylists/bloggers I know in and around Austin. Each one is so unique and so passionate about what they do, which is a huge inspiration to me. One of those bloggers is Diya of In Her Stilettos. She’s 22, she’s a full-time chemistry/biology student at UT and she writes a ridiculously awesome style blog. Her personal style is ultra...
I'm Stuck
I have four drafts started for four different posts and no inspiration to finish any of them. I found my tripod and learned how to do timer photos with my camera, but have no taken a single OOTD picture. I’ve picked out a million cool outfits in my head, but have yet to wear any of them. I’ve started three business models and not finished a single one. I’M STUCK!!!
I’ve...

Fashion Fusion - Music + Fashion Rocks!
I got an email from fellow fashion lover Tyler Neal about an awesome event happening in Austin this weekend I had to share it!
Toomba Jeans and Denim Wear is partnering with the Austin affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation for the second annual Fashion Fusion - Music + Fashion Rocks show on Saturday, October 22nd at Aloft Hotel in the Domain at 6:30 pm.
Fashion Fusion is a celebration...
The Killer Wedges
I have made it no secret that I am madly in love with Ideeli. I tweet every plus size sale they have (and they have A LOT of them!!) I am always sharing it with friends (2 of my friends have purchased from them) and I check it every single day. Some may call it obsessed, but I call it smart shopping. Now that I’m single and on a budget, I have to think long and hard about where my shopping...
Austin Events...... And Why I'm Quitting Them
It took me a week of starting and stopping this post to finally finish it. At first, I tried to write my wrap-up of Tribeza Style Week. I was going to show some pictures I took of the runway looks, and my feelings on the styling. But every time I started that post, something really weird happened…….. I couldn’t think of anything to say. That’s right, I was tongue...

Tribeza Style Week - 2nd Street Boutique Crawl
Thursday night saw Tribeza Style Week take over the 2nd Street shopping district with a boutique crawl that was part “see and be seen” and part “ridiculous specials that you had to see to believe.” What a fun night!
While I stopped in at Duo, Teddies for Betties and Langford Market, I spent most of my time down the 499 Dresses event. So many beautiful vintage dresses for...

499 Dresses at Tribeza Style Week
One of my favorite parts of Tribeza Style Week is the boutique crawl. This year, they will be kicking off with a Boutique Crawl in the 2nd Street District. I can’t wait to see the stores and styles and fashionable Austinites! There is one event in particular that I am very excited about, and that is the 499 Dresses event.
Theresa from Tess Dress is a passionate supporter of the 499...
Sonsi Fashion Genius
There are many things that I like - cheese, tuna, chocolate, wedges, empire waisted dresses, cute earrings, long necklaces….. the list goes on and on. However, the list of things that I LOVE is a lot shorter. I like to reserve the term LOVE for very special things since it tends to get overused and I don’t want to dilute the meaning. But I have recently found something that I love and...
What I Wore- Austin Fashion Week
I planned to have someone take my outfit picture everyday of Fashion Week but between me taking pictures and being tipsy, I completely forgot!! I did manage to snag a couple of images taken during the week though……
Take by the fabulous Jeffrey Fry!
I wore this on Tuesday when I went to the Hill Country Galleria for a bout 5 minutes and then to Mirror Mirror. The dress and cami are...
I Get Around (but not in a smutty way)
I can’t believe that Austin Fashion Week has come and gone already! It feels like just yesterday I was planning my outfits and prepping my feet and liver for a week of partying and ogling beautiful clothes and jewelry. However, the fabulous (or not so fabulous) life of a quasi serious fashion blogger is never boring. It looks like I’ll be out and about again this month…….

Austin Fashion Week - Friday Recap
Finally, the last post on Austin Fashion Week…… and it’s only like a week and a half late!
This one will be pretty short. I kept it simple Friday and attended the Neiman Marcus fall trend show. This was my favorite show from last year, and this year did not disappoint! The looks were ladylike and full of color and texture……. oh and the male models were HOT.
Here are...
Austin Fashion Week- Thursday and Friday Recap
What a long and crazy week! I’m doing two posts back to back for Thursday and Friday. The week was so much fun - I dragged my feet on posting these because I didn’t want to admit that the fun was over…..
Thursday was 2nd street night and, as always, it did not disappoint. I did a bit of party hopping and was so excited to see some awesome local designers. I’m not going to...
