Austin Slave To Fashion

Austin Fashion Week - Tuesday

After the excitement of Monday, I tried to keep Tuesday pretty simple. I only went to two events - one out in Bee Caves and one in central Austin. I saw some old friends, made some new ones, drank out of a crazy straw and saw some amazing fashion!

First I went to Fab’rik which is located in the Hill Country Galleria in Bee Caves. Even though it was crazy hot outside, it was perfectly cool inside! The store carries a wide variety of clothing and accessories from many different designers. I found so many things I love……. see below for the purse I want for my birthday! In addition to some Angels (from Main Gain) greeting visitors, the store was showcasing designer Malissa Long. She creates her line from recycled materials and is now branching out into shorts. I really enjoyed talking with her and checking out the beautiful store.

This dress is made from white jeans and BBQ’d aluminum pieces!

This shirt was created from a men’s dress shirt- the buttons are up the back.

Greeter angels!

Some dresses and accessories available at Fab’rik

More clothes and the purse I am lusting after!!

Next I headed over to Mirror Mirror Salon in north central Austin. I got there about 6:30 and it was PACKED!! The event was called La Belle Vie and featured French Carnivale inspired make up and accessories by Meghan Pinto Designs. I ran into Joanna from Keep Austin Stylish, and she looked simply stunning. We drank pink drinks with fancy straws, people watched, and enjoyed the chill music. I believe we took our picture in a photobooth as well………

Stunning makeup and head pieces!

It was crazy crowded…. and there was an awesome white couch :)

See? Isn’t Joanna pretty?

Tonight is a busy one for me - lots of designer showcases! I’ll be at Kendra Scott, Brazilia Wax for Maggie Goen Jewelry, Underwear for By Jeannie Jewelry, Lovely Boutique for Savannah Red, and Touch of Sass for Tess Designs. Wish me luck, and be sure to check back tomorrow for a full recap!
